How it works

Top Change is a listings and auction board for magicians: you sell, somebody buys, we keep to the rules. We never touch the money.

Accounts and verification

  1. You create an account (e-mail or Google) and confirm that you are at least 18.
  2. Any account can buy and bid. To sell, you apply under “Become a seller”: you give links to your profiles online and book a 15-minute video call. Once approved, you get the “Verified” badge – the buyer knows there is a real magician on the other side.

Fixed price and “Buy”

  • “Buy” is a binding declaration: you take the item at the stated price. The listing is reserved for you and the seller has 48 hours to confirm.
  • If the seller accepts price offers, you can propose a lower amount. The offer binds for 48 hours; the seller may answer with one counter-offer.

Auctions

  • You enter your maximum and we bid for you, one step above the others. Only you see your maximum.
  • Soft close: a bid in the last minutes moves the end of the auction, so nobody wins “in the last second”.
  • The server is the only clock. Bids are binding.

After the deal

  1. You arrange payment and shipping in the site’s messages.
  2. The seller marks “Shipped”, the buyer “Received”.
  3. Both sides leave a rating – that is how you build the reputation shown on your profile.
